Chen Moore and Associates is hiring a Senior Civil 3D Designer to work on municipal water, wastewater, and stormwater infrastructure projects. Candidates should be able to efficiently plan and organize workload, demonstrate success working with a team of professionals, a commitment to quality, good communication skills, and a positive work ethic, strong sense of urgency, project responsibility, initiative, work independently and as part of a team. CMA is open to remote work opportunities for candidates meeting the requirements and experience for this position.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of AutoCAD & Civil 3D experience.
  • 10+ years of design experience on civil engineering projects which include water and sewer pipelines, and/or stormwater systems.
  • Outstanding organizational skills
  • Strong sense of urgency, project responsibility and initiative
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with other design applications, such as GIS, is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Design and plan preparation of public works underground utilities projects, watermains, gravity sewer forcemains and stormwater culverts.
  • Work closely with the engineer utilizing Autodesk Civil 3D to create construction documents for all aspects of civil engineering with a focus on water, sewer, and drainage systems, as well as roadway, paving and grading designs.
  • Plan set up, implementation, and design conforming to appropriate CAD standards and procedures using best practices.
