About The Position
Global Placement Firm is partnering with a premier mechanical services company in La Mirada, California , to identify a highly skilled Senior Chiller Technician experienced in the maintenance, diagnostics, and repair of large tonnage HVAC and chiller systems . As a Senior Chiller Technician , you will: Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain centrifugal, screw, and absorption chillers , as well as complex HVAC systems. Perform precision diagnostics, system optimization, and preventive maintenance to ensure peak system performance. Utilize advanced manufacturer-specific software and tools to perform system analysis and calibration. Collaborate with project and engineering teams on chiller retrofits, overhauls, and performance upgrades. Document service activities, performance metrics, and client communications with accuracy and professionalism.
Requirements
- 5-7 years of hands-on experience servicing large tonnage chillers and HVAC systems .
- EPA Universal Certification (required).
- Proficiency with leading chiller manufacturers such as Trane, Carrier, York, Daikin, or McQuay .
- Working knowledge of BAS/BMS systems and digital controls.
- Valid drivers license and clean driving record.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and fieldwork as required.

Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth troubleshooting of large tonnage chiller systems (air-cooled and water-cooled).
- Execute refrigerant management, oil analysis, and vibration testing in compliance with industry standards.
- Support installations, startups, and commissioning of new systems.
- Ensure compliance with EPA , ASHRAE , and OSHA guidelines.
