About The Position
WSP is seeking a Senior CEI Inspector located in Atlanta. This position involves general-level technical work supporting higher-level inspectors and engineers in various functional areas such as construction inspection and surveying, scheduling and status, roadway design, traffic signal equipment, traffic signalization and geometrics, materials sampling, inspection and testing. The role requires significant decision-making and judgment, and may include providing work directions to others. The inspector will conduct independent complex inspections of roadways and structure construction processes and materials to ensure compliance with the construction contract. Responsibilities also include performing moderately complex inspections or supervising other inspectors conducting routine and standardized inspections. The inspector will inspect asphalt and concrete for acceptable materials and mix, pavement for proper spreading, rolling, depth, alignment, and compaction, as well as roadways and structures for conformance to plans and specifications. Additional duties include performing contract documentation, participating in Concept Meetings, Field Plan Reviews, CPM schedule reviews, project close-out, and other assigned responsibilities.
