About The Position
The person in this position will be responsible for procuring available market ready cattle in a predetermined area. Duties also include transferring pertinent information to all scale house coordinators for price reporting and scheduling purposes. This person must also stay informed on market conditions and monitor available cattle supply and is responsible for decisions regarding cattle pricing. Other duties include developing strong working relationships with all customers scale house coordinators and upper management.
Requirements
- BS Degree in Animal Science or Agriculture preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 3 plus years’ experience in the cattle and/or packing industry preferred
- Basic computer skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Excellent math oral and written skills a must
- 75% Travel
- open to relocating to the Dakota City area
