The Senior Category Manager will act as Walmart's category expert by providing best in class category and shopper insights and actionable go-to-market recommendations. This individual will analyze multiple data sources, identify business insights, and recommend solutions that drive profitable category growth for Newell's Learning and Development (L&D) business. In addition to category leadership responsibilities, this role includes managing and developing a team of two sales analysts. The Senior Category Manager will coach, mentor, and build analytical capability within the team to support business objectives and elevate the category management function. In this non-NDA position, the individual will work closely with the Walmart merchant team and Newell sales team to develop and grow total category sales by leveraging syndicated data, shopper and consumer insights, category, and industry trends. This position works as a strategic thought leader, imparting knowledge of the category and shopper to drive profitable business results.
