About The Position

Lead the development and execution of category strategies that drive sales, margin, and customer satisfaction. Manage all aspects of assortment, pricing, merchandising, product quality, sourcing, and promotional planning using data, market insights, and cross-functional collaboration. Deliver financial goals through everyday business management and long-term strategic planning with a regional mindset.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
  • 5-7 years of experience in category management, merchandising, or procurement, preferably in the grocery or retail industry.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; merchandising software experience a plus.
  • Solid understanding of P&L, margins, and retail merchandising principles.
  • Results‑oriented, strategic, and proactive.
  • Strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Highly organized and detail‑focused; able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Able to maintain confidentiality and work independently or collaboratively.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute category plans, including assortment, pricing, promotions, innovation, quality, and shrink management.
  • Manage sales and margin performance by analyzing profitability, pricing, selection, and in-store presentation.
  • Use reporting and analytics to inform decisions and anticipate risks or challenges.
  • Set retail pricing and promotional strategies across regions through effective supplier negotiations.
  • Build category marketing strategies aligned with company priorities.
  • Maintain strong internal and external partnerships, influence teams through clear communication and storytelling.
  • Conduct competitive and market analysis to ensure alignment with customer trends and preferences.
  • Provide stores with relevant data and direction to maximize profitability.
  • Support resets, remodels, and new store openings.
  • Ensure compliance with freshness, food safety, refrigeration, and sanitation standards.
