JOB SUMMARY: The Senior Casino Auditor will perform daily audits of casino operations financial and non-financial transactions and be responsible for the proper completion and submission of gaming and admission taxes. · The Senior Casino Auditor will act as the point person to resolve issues and inquiries with audit programs within the department and/or changes with casino operations. · Will assist in the preparation of month-end journal entries and check and balance spreadsheets generated through the audit process. · The Senior Casino Auditor will assist the MGC and external auditors with research and documentation requests. · Will be responsible to review, create and/or modify checklists and procedures and forms as part of MICS and ICS changes. · Special project assignments will include updating casino systems to meet requirements to maintain casino operations (including but not limited to table moves and slot moves requests). · The position will work closely with the Financial Controller, other Department Team members and all other Casino and Hotel personnel. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS : Audits daily casino, food/beverage, hotel and admissions transactions with respect to SOP, MICS, ICS, and GAAP requirements. Ensures compliance with all applicable local, state and federal laws. Receives casino and non-casino generated accounting records and reports any deviations from the approved System of Internal Controls and Missouri Gaming Commission Regulations. · Responsible for the submission of all internal and external document requests. Responsible for maintaining journal entries for gaming and non-gaming audits and related revenue reports and schedules. Prepares financial and statistical reports for internal and external reporting requirements. Create and maintain SOP’s for audit programs. Responds to customer inquiries (including but not limited to credit card charges, W2-G information, Win/Loss Statements). Communicates with all departments on variances, statistics and exceptions to policies and procedures. Participation in admission and slot meter reading requests and toke counts. Attend any training that is required and approved by Management. May perform a dual rate function; refer to Chapter A, standard 1.06 for dual rate guidelines. Ensures compliance with regulatory and non-regulatory control procedures and makes recommendations and/or changes to the audit programs. Responsible for the proper completion and timely reporting of gaming and admission taxes and corresponding documentation.
