We are seeking a versatile and ambitious Senior Client Accounting Services (CAS) Advisor to join our growing public accounting firm. This unique role blends controller-level advisory (budgets, forecasts, KPIs, client financial reviews) with hands-on CAS responsibilities (oversight of reconciliations, reporting packages, and system/process improvements). The ideal candidate will be comfortable stepping into client-facing advisory conversations while still rolling up their sleeves to ensure accurate, timely accounting deliverables. As our CAS department expands, this position offers significant opportunities for growth, leadership, and long-term impact.

  • Develop client budgets, forecasts, and KPI dashboards
  • Lead monthly/quarterly financial review meetings with clients
  • Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to business owners/executives
  • Mentor CAS team members on financial analysis and reporting best practices
  • Review reconciliations, reporting packages, and financial statements (balance sheet, P&L, cash flow)
  • Troubleshoot accounting system issues and ensure clean, accurate client books
  • Step in on transactional tasks (AP/AR, payroll entries, catch-up work) when necessary to maintain client service standards
  • Oversee deliverables from AI/outsourced teams, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
  • Act as a trusted advisor and point-of-contact for assigned clients
  • Conduct onboarding for new CAS clients, ensuring smooth transitions
  • Identify opportunities for process automation and workflow improvements
  • Collaborate with internal team members across service lines to deliver comprehensive solutions
  • 5–7+ years of progressive experience in public accounting, controllership, or client services (CAS/outsourced accounting strongly preferred)
  • Strong proficiency in accounting platforms (QuickBooks Online required; Xero/Sage/other experience a plus)
  • Experience preparing budgets, forecasts, KPI dashboards, and presenting financials to management
  • Solid knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or advanced certification a plus)
  • QBO Advanced Certification preferred
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
  • Strong client-facing communication and interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable managing multiple client accounts and shifting priorities in a fast-growing department
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for local client visits
  • Flexibility to occasionally work extended hours during peak periods
  • Commitment to maintaining client confidentiality and professional ethics
