POSITION SUMMARY The Senior Capital Markets Analyst will be a primary decision maker in the valuation, sales, and reconciliation of mortgage loans to the GSE’s and various investors. This would include regular Best Execution pooling, Agency Cash and third-party sales, and reporting on performance. The decisions and sales strategies employed by the Senior Capital Markets Analyst will have a direct impact on the profitability of the company. The Senior Capital Markets Analyst will also be responsible for maintaining mortgage commitments with various counterparties, improving processes, and selecting the best execution strategies for NewRez. A successful candidate would have a mindset focused on process, automation, new opportunities, and continuous improvement. DESCRIPTION Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities Regular pooling, cash, and third-party sales of At-Risk inventory Enter into and manage cash contracts with Agencies and private investors. Maintain and run valuation and execution optimization engines and models. Generates sales and valuation information reporting for use within the company. Reconciles purchase advice from investors. Performs additional projects, duties, and generates ad-hoc reports as assigned. Document and maintain policies and procedures. Review and recommend revenue generating ideas. Continuous communication and collaboration with multiple departments

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required with a specialization in Mathematics or Finance
  • 5+ Years in the industry, with a focus on Capital Markets or Secondary Marketing
  • Prior oversight or facilitation of whole loan settlements or bulk sales
  • Understanding of the full process from mortgage origination, funding, and sale to servicing
  • Knowledge of GSE pooling and Agency Cash sale execution options and requirements
  • Ability to formulate, communicate and implement long and short-term vision and strategies.
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite.
  • Exposure to datamining and reporting software such as SQL, Oracle, SAS, Tableau, or Clickview
  • Familiarity with Fanne Mae and Freddie Mac’s selling system for cash trade management
  • Proficiency in analyzing large volumes of data.
  • Strong analytical skills required to analyze, correct, and resolve discrepancies.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task in a deadline driven environment
  • Ability to interact with peers in a “team environment.”
  • Ability to work independently with a hands-on approach.
