About The Position

The Senior Camp Counselor position at the YMCA involves leading games, activities, and special events, mentoring other counselors, overseeing camper groups, and ensuring a safe, fun, and inclusive environment for everyone. This role is about creating unforgettable summer memories, building confidence, and leading with purpose, making a difference in the lives of campers.

Requirements

• You’re 18+, a high school grad, and a natural leader
• You’ve got camp or youth experience and love working with kids
• You’re down to be active, loud, creative, and present—all day, every day
• CPR/First Aid certified (or willing to get certified)
• Able to pass a background check

Responsibilities

• Be the heart of camp—leading games, activities, and special events
• Mentor counselors and support your team
• Oversee camper groups
• Keep things safe, fun, and inclusive for everyone
• Jump into the action—yes, we mean water balloon fights too
