About The Position

AECOM is seeking a Senior CADD/BrIM Technician /Bridge Designer to be based in AECOM's San Francisco office to work on exciting local, regional, and national projects. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: Performs a variety of tasks in support of the engineering staff. Primary focus is Civil Engineering CADD for bridges and other structural projects. Monitors and documents conformance with quality, performance, safety, and/or code requirements. Activities may include assisting with engineering calculations, setting up and operating equipment, inspecting equipment and engineering installations for compliance with specifications and maintaining project documentation. General understanding of procedures, company policies to achieve set results and deadlines. Performs routine duties; viewed as fully competent within limits of experience. Performs complex CADD assignments and coordinates CADD drawing production in support of the CADD manager. Performs advanced applications, scale and edit assignments involving the use of computer aided design and drafting equipment and other graphics software (e.g. CADD software) to achieve set results and deadlines. Digitize or trace sketches or concepts from designers using CADD software, such as AutoCAD or MicroStation. Decisions made with general understanding of procedures, company policies, and business practices to achieve general results and deadlines. Responsible for setting own project deadlines. Understands the implications of work and makes recommendations for solutions. Determines methods and procedures on new assignments. May lead less experienced drafters.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree + 6 years of experience or demonstrated equivalency and/or education.
  • Ability to pass MVR check + traditional background screening process.

Nice To Haves

  • Min 8+ years of experience wth Bridge Structures Design
  • Bentley Microstation and Autocad proficient
  • Proficient in BrIM workflows
  • Ability to communicate and work in a team environment
  • CADD Management experience a plus
