About The Position

RaganSmith, a Pape-Dawson company, is seeking a full time Senior CAD Technician specializing in civil engineering based in either our Nashville, Franklin, or Murfreesboro office. This position is responsible for providing and overseeing CAD support for residential and commercial engineers, serving as a key member of the team in the design and preparation of construction plans. The Senior CAD Technician for civil engineering will also collaborate internally with other CAD technicians, civil engineers, landscape architects, and land surveyors to assist our clients in the development of public, private, and mixed-use projects.

Requirements

• 5-7+ years of experience preparing civil site plans
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Ability to work with deadlines in a team environment
• Strength in multi-department coordination
• Proficient written and verbal communication related to projects

Responsibilities

• Use AutoCAD Civil 3D to create detailed drawings of residential projects
• Provide QA/QC for more junior technicians and designers
• Train new staff in company softwares and standards
• Ability to multi-task, work on multiple projects, and maintain organization
• Collaborate with residential and commercial engineers and project managers to meet deadlines
• Assure all requirements are met on project documents
• Stay updated on latest applicable software developments
• Additional related duties as needed
