With us, you'll be able to make an impact while you grow in your career. We are hiring a Design Specialist Senior Librarian, to support the engineering, design and configuration management teams. This position is an important part of our team and will be relied upon for creating and maintaining the integrity of a library of Standard and Commercial-Off-The-Shelf components. This position can be located at Minneapolis, MN, or Sterling Heights, MI. The role is Hybrid where you will be onsite a minimum of 3 days a week.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in design/engineering or 4 years additional experience in lieu of degree.
  • Strong writing and oral communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • CREO design experience.
  • Proficient in the creation and maintenance of Family Tables, Relations and Varied Items.
  • Excellent teamwork.
  • Productive while working independently.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in military vehicle program and architecture.
  • Understanding of Model Based Definition (MBD) requirements.
  • Familiarity of Electrical and SAE specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain knowledge of Creo/Windchill system infrastructure and architecture.
  • Maintain and continuously improve application software knowledge and skill base.
  • Effectively maintain a current understanding of the ASME Y14 and company standards as they apply to Creo models.
  • Work closely with the Lead Librarian, Engineers and Designers in support of Combat Vehicle and Weapon Systems design.
  • Interface with manufacturers of Commercial Off-the-shelf components.
  • Create, maintain, and update engineering records and files as appropriate.
  • Utilize computer-aided design equipment to design components, modify existing components as required.
  • Create and maintain Creo family tables.
  • Create 3D solid models from imported geometry and 2D drawings.
  • Generate or update engineering models, specifications, or other related documentation.
