As a Senior Buyer, you’ll take end‑to‑end ownership of procurement for complex, high‑value commodities—working hands‑on with domestic and international suppliers to drive cost, delivery, and performance in support of high‑tech manufacturing operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as an individual contributor in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management
  • Experience managing suppliers, negotiating contracts, and supporting manufacturing environments

  • Global sourcing experience and commodity expertise preferred

Responsibilities

  • Review and analyze purchase requisitions; generate RFQs and execute purchase orders for assigned suppliers
  • Manage purchase order delivery schedules to support manufacturing and operational plans
  • Maintain accuracy and integrity of procurement and supplier data within ERP and supply chain management systems
  • Monitor cost, schedule, and scope for assigned parts and suppliers to ensure optimal value and quality
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and agreements; manage purchase price variance (PPV) against standard cost
  • Identify and deliver cost reduction opportunities, including volume planning, tariff mitigation, and total cost analysis
  • Identify new supply sources when existing suppliers are no longer competitive or meet performance requirements. Evaluate potential cost savings for supplier.
  • Evaluate and recommend cost-saving initiatives such as alternative sourcing and make‑versus‑buy decisions
  • Partner with Quality to resolve supplier quality and performance issues
  • Collaborate with management on commodity strategies, including business plans, market trend analysis, pricing strategies, and supplier availability
  • Maintain domestic and/or global commodity expertise; support supplier visits and sourcing activities as required
  • Travel domestically and internationally to meet with suppliers and potential new suppliers will be required.
