PRIMARY FUNCTIONS: The Purchasing Manager is responsible for supervising the process of sourcing and purchasing essential materials for a business’s operation, including searching raw materials suppliers and comparing costs, negotiating purchase agreements and developing inventory controls to identify demand for new materials, such as vegetable, dry food and seafood etc…Bilingual of Chinese Mandarin is preferred.

Requirements

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred
  • Prior experience working in the purchasing department in the same industry required
  • Strong understanding of the market conditions and trends
  • Exceptional interpersonal and social skills to build a good rapport
  • Positive and professional demeanor
  • Strong contract negotiation skills with exceptional business ethics
  • Bilingual Chinese Mandarin is preferred
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain, or related field required.
  • At least 5 years of purchasing experience in a professional office environment preferred.

  • Bilingual of Chinese Mandarin is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily purchasing activities, supervise staff, and allocate tasks
  • Manage the purchasing process including the buying, selling and distribution aspects of the company
  • Review new project proposals for the company
  • Developing an organization’s procurement rules and regulations
  • Establishing guidelines on how often the company gets price quotes for items, the number of bids to accept and which vendors to consider
  • Buying goods and services for the company
  • Handle contract negotiations with vendors and suppliers
  • Identify ideal suppliers based on quality, cost and reliability
  • Any other duties as assigned by the management
