About The Position

Senior Buyer - Remote. This position is open to candidates residing in Oregon, Washington or California . One Supply Chain Management (OSCM) is the name adopted to reflect the Providence employees who work throughout Providence Health and Services in supply chain services and systems to support our ministries and operations in all regions from Alaska to California. OSCM's objective is to ensure our core strategy, One Ministry Committed to Excellence, is enhanced along with the overall patient care experience (know me, care for me, ease my way) by delivering a robust foundation of Strategic services, operational and technical support, and the sharing of comprehensive, relevant, and highly specialized supply chain management expertise. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree, Or Coursework/Training: 4 years college coursework with emphasis in Business Administration., Or Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • 4 years experience in the acquisition of healthcare supplies, service, and equipment.
  • 2 years experience in using a materials management information system.

Nice To Haves

  • Upon hire: Certification from a nationally recognized purchasing firm i.e., Institute of Supply Management (ISM), Association of HealthCare Materials Management (AHRMM)
  • 2 years experience in inventory control using an auto–replenishment system.
  • Contract negotiation experience.
