MAIN PURPOSE: This position is responsible for quoting and/or buying goods and services as required by internal client demand, cost analysis for raw materials, WIP and Finished Goods products. Supply Chain responsibilities including determining inventory needs based on sales forecasts, item movement, job requirements and planning fulfillment of those demand needs. Must be able to negotiate with suppliers on cost, quality, warranties and delivery of materials, as well as maintaining inventory levels to strategic guidelines.

Requirements

Strong time management skills
Strong quantitative and analytical skills
Strong familiarity with logistics and production planning concepts e.g., Just-in-Time (JIT), Materials Requirement Planning (MRP), ERP & MRP concepts
Broad range of computer skills—database, spreadsheet, statistical applications and logistics software packages
Understand contracts and tariffs
Self-directed and highly motivated
Ability to communicate findings, make recommendations, develop project models to facilitate/implement change
Comfortable working with individuals at all organizational levels
Highly organized, attentive to detail, and able to handle multiple projects
International OEM
International Purchasing experience strongly preferred

Responsibilities

Handle the full cycle purchasing process, reviewing solutions, identifying vendors and making recommendations
Place orders for required materials based upon demand of internal clients
Expediting of orders to ensure on time-delivery needs
Provides analytical support for projects, new business opportunities and proposals
Interfacing with engineering, warehouse/inventory control as well as finance to resolve any vendor/supplier issues.
Communicate status of orders through reporting to internal clients on a weekly basis
Know and understand Sparrows Offshore LLC's Quality Policy and comply with all requirements of the Quality Management System, Operating and Technical Procedures and Workplace Instructions.
Understand and comply with all Safety and Environmental requirements.
Perform other duties as required by Supervisor within the physical constraints of the job.
Support of Supply Chain Manager
