About The Position

The principal role of the Sr. Materials Logistics Specialist is ensuring an uninterrupted supply of materials to support production and shipping, while leading Action Plans and Problem Solving to improve and sustain Delivery KPIs and driving Lean, VCP and Kaizen Projects, as well as coaching and/or leading other procurement team members on best practices and continuous improvement mind sets.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree, or 3 years of proven experience in Supply Chain, Production and Materials Planning or Customer Service
  • Ability to communicate (Read, write & speak) effectively and work with others in local language (English)
  • Basic knowledge of quality and inventory control
  • Demand Planning MRP and MPS interpretation
  • Presentation Skills for Senior Management levels, Demand Planning Fundaments, Proficient in Microsoft Office, i.e.: Excel, Power Point, Access, Outlook, Word, etc.
  • Project management Intermediate – Experience in Kaizen events, Productivity, Lean or process improvement projects Data interpretation and analysis for decision making Lean Manufacturing – Intermediate (Daily Management System, Action Plan & Problem Solving)

Nice To Haves

  • Masters Business Administration Degree
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple work tasks
  • APICS Certified
  • Lean-Six Sigma, Supply Chain or Production Planning Certification, Kinaxis/Maestro ERP

Responsibilities

  • Use ERP systems to Procure Materials required to deliver Customer Orders according to due dates
  • Create strategies in Kan Ban Box platform to ensure the effectiveness of the tool according to the business goals.
  • Manage internal and external customer relationships, including promise dates, material shortages, escalations and customer order status
  • Maintain communication with Cross Functional Teams.
  • Lead Action Plan deployment to improve and sustain department KPIs for Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and People
  • Participating in Kaizen events, Productivity & Quality Workshops, and End Of Quarter workshops
  • Support New Product Introduction (NPI) inclusive to phase in/phase out.
  • Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned.
  • Know and follow established job specific and facility wide health and safety procedures and rules.
  • Creation of Inventory Reduction systems and/or strategy that will help the organization reach the yearly reduction goals established by senior management.
  • Comply with EHS regulations and policies; identify and report any EHS concern and support on corrective actions.
  • Mentor/Coach other Team members on Supply Chain best practices, Supply Chain Transformation, Lean initiatives.
