About The Position

The Senior Business Analyst for IT Applications is responsible for leading the analysis, design, and implementation of technology solutions that support business objectives. This role acts as a liaison between business stakeholders and IT teams, ensuring that application requirements are clearly defined, documented, and delivered effectively. Analyze organizational information challenges, current processes, and procedures; recommend and implement new processes that improve system efficiency, productivity, consistency, controls and protocols across the enterprise Orchestrate and lead cross-functional linked teams to address business or systems issues Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, validate and document business requirements for IT applications Lead requirements workshops, interviews, and process mapping sessions Evaluate existing IT applications and recommend improvements or new solutions to optimize business processes Identify and resolve issues or gaps in requirements and processes Develop use cases, user stories, process flows, and data models as needed Work closely with developers, QA, and project managers to ensure requirements are understood and implemented correctly Validate applications to ensure the functionalities are working per designed Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in business analysis and IT applications Provide user support, investigate and resolve issues of IT applications Adhere to IS change control procedures Create and maintain end to end business process functionality documentation for Microchip standard practices Play a strategic role in developing long term technology strategies Provide guidance to Business System Analyst

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field
  • 6+ years of experience as a Business Analyst
  • Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies
  • Experience with business process modeling, requirements management tools, and data analysis
  • Excellent analytical skills in evaluating and interpreting end user information requirements, trouble shooting, problem solving, data extraction
  • Experience with scenario development, test case construction, flowcharting
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills
  • Creativity and problem solving
  • Identifying continuous improvement opportunities
  • Must be able to maintain a "Big Picture" perspective
  • Study current practices, think outside the box, and foster creative analysis to complex problems
