This person is responsible for ensuring that business needs, related to those systems, are clearly understood, documented and met. The Senior Business Systems Analyst will work closely with business system users, subject matter experts and technical resources to support business requirement efforts, document functional requirements and design specifications and support development and testing efforts.

Requirements

  • For a Level 3 (Senior), a minimum of five years of related experience is required (if no degree, nine years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience totaling nine years).

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain multiple fleet software systems (Faster, Geotab, EJ Ward, Franklin).
  • Provide technical leadership pertaining to the support and monitoring of MS SQL Server database environments, including maintaining data integrity, recommending process/ technical improvements.
  • Utilize scripting (e.g. Powershell, T-SQL) to automate tasks/ reporting that improve the efficiency of the team, manage the environment or improve customer service.
  • Elicits, analyzes, specifies, and validates the business needs of stakeholders.
  • Creates documentation ensuring that the requirements and design are complete, consistent, concise, traceable, feasible, unambiguous, and verifiable.
  • Conducts internal and external research to gain a better understanding of the project’s subject area.
  • Conducts meetings and presentations to all levels of stakeholders to share ideas and findings and to ensure that requirement specifications are correctly interpreted
  • Manages and tracks the status of requirements throughout the project lifecycle; enforce and redefine as necessary.
  • Researches, reviews, and analyzes the effectiveness and efficiency of existing requirements-gathering processes and develop strategies for enhancing or further leveraging these processes.
