About The Position

The Opportunity We are seeking a highly experienced Senior SAP S/4HANA Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) Expert to join Hitachi Energy’s Service Business. In this role, you will lead the design, implementation, and optimization of warehouse management solutions within our SAP S/4HANA environment. You will drive operational excellence, ensure seamless integration with other SAP modules, and support strategic initiatives across our supply chain and logistics operations. Your work will contribute to the reliability and innovation of the power grid, solving complex challenges and collaborating with stakeholders to deliver best-in-class service solutions.

Requirements

  • Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Supply Chain Management, or related field. Equivalent years of experience will also be accepted.
  • Experience: 8+ years of SAP EWM experience, with at least 2 full lifecycle implementations in S/4HANA.
  • Technical Skills: Expertise in EWM configuration, CIF, DRF, QRFC, PPF, and integration scenarios.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse operations and supply chain processes.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Analytical and problem-solving mindset.

Nice To Haves

  • SAP EWM certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end SAP EWM implementation projects, including blueprinting, configuration, testing, and go-live.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and map warehouse processes for efficiency and compliance.
  • Ensure smooth integration of EWM with SAP modules (MM, SD, TM, PP, QM) and external systems.
  • Identify automation opportunities and implement best practices for warehouse operations.
  • Develop user guides, conduct training sessions, and provide post-implementation support.
  • Manage timelines, deliverables, and cross-functional teams to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Analyze system performance and recommend improvements for reliability and safety.
  • Adapt to global project templates and hybrid work environments.
  • Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
