We are seeking a Senior Business Intelligence (BI) Engineer with strong expertise in Amazon QuickSight to lead the design, development, and optimization of enterprise BI solutions. The ideal candidate is a hands-on builder who can move seamlessly between business conversations and technical execution—leading design sessions, building scalable data models, deploying production dashboards, and mentoring junior team members.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field required, Master’s Degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in BI, data analytics, or data engineering roles required.
  • Experience with Amazon QuickSight (dashboard design, data preparation, row-level security, embedding, SPICE optimization) is required.
  • Proficiency in SQL for complex queries and data transformations is required.
  • Experience with cloud-based data warehouses (Databricks, AWS Redshift, Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks Delta, or similar) is required.
  • Strong understanding of BI design principles, data visualization best practices, and KPI measurement.
  • Ability to work directly with senior business leaders, communicate insights effectively, and influence decisions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to thrive in fast-paced environments.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with ETL/ELT tools (e.g., dbt, Databricks).
  • Exposure to other BI tools (Tableau, Power BI) but with primary expertise in QuickSight .
  • Experience in manufacturing, supply chain, logistics, or automotive industry analytics is a plus.
  • Strong mentoring and leadership experience in BI/Analytics teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end design, development, and deployment of BI dashboards and reports using Amazon QuickSight.
  • Proactively engage with business stakeholders to understand operational goals, uncover pain points, and translate them into impactful KPIs and reporting solutions.
  • Ensure BI solutions are optimized for performance, usability, and data accuracy, including SPICE tuning, dataset refresh strategies, and RLS configuration
  • Work hands-on throughout the lifecycle—from requirements gathering to dashboard development, testing, deployment, and continuous improvement.
  • Mentor junior BI team members and establish best practices in dashboard development, data governance, and visualization standards.
