About The Position

The Senior Business Intelligence Analyst at Instacart plays a crucial role in building and managing data models, creating dashboards, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to design data solutions that support financial reporting and operations. Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in BI, Data Science, or Data Engineering.
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.
• Advanced SQL experience and dashboard building skills.
• Highly effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to prioritize work and deliver finished products on tight deadlines.
• Ability to communicate and coordinate with cross-functional teams, perform root cause analysis, and recommend solutions.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, or similar data warehouses.
• Experience with DBT, Apache Airflow, Github, and Jira.
• Familiarity with visualization tools like Mode, Tableau, or similar.
• Understanding of financial concepts and common accounting practices.
• Exposure to SOX compliance best practices and experience with ITGCs.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain data pipelines and models critical to Instacart's business operations, including financial reporting and analysis.
• Partner with Accounting, Strategic Finance, Data Science, and other teams to understand complex problems and develop effective data solutions.
• Contribute to the optimization, documentation, testing, and tooling efforts to improve data quality and empower data consumers.
• Communicate progress, risks, and project completion with stakeholders, teammates, and management.
• Work with Product, Data Engineering, and Business Development teams to stay updated on product rollouts and their data impacts.
• Promote a self-service data culture by developing self-service data models and teaching business users how to utilize them.
