About The Position

The Sr BI Administrator will be a key member of the Cotiviti Infrastructure team, focusing on the development and administration of Power BI and Microsoft Fabric environments. This role involves managing technical and security aspects, ensuring optimal utilization of BI tools, and providing guidance on best practices. The position also includes facilitating user training and overseeing system integrations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering or equivalent.
  • 8+ years of hands-on experience in Azure and Power BI.
  • Proven experience as a BI Developer or similar role in data management.
  • Extensive experience with PowerBI/Fabric.
  • Proficiency in Azure Data Factory and SQL.
  • Experience with other database integration tools.
  • Experience setting up standard backup and recovery of contents.
  • Experience with multiple implementations of end-to-end application server configurations including knowledge on Network, Security, and firewall.
  • Experience setting up Okta Single Sign on.
  • Ability to design and understand data processes including loading, transformations, mapping, etc.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain BI solutions using PowerBI/Fabric.
  • Leverage Azure Data Factory for ETL processes.
  • Write complex SQL queries and perform database optimization.
  • Integrate multiple databases to ensure smooth data flow.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their data needs and provide appropriate BI solutions.
  • Lead efforts in troubleshooting, updating, and improving existing BI systems.
  • Submit and manage issues and enhancement cases with BI for administration/environment related items.
  • Develop mechanisms and automation for deploying BI projects and configuration changes across the various environments.
  • Windows and/or Linux Operating System Administration.
  • Support BI and development teams with user/group security provisioning in BI.
  • Primary owner of test, build, release process in development and production infrastructures.
  • Responsible for executing standard software source control, QA processes, build plan, deploy software to all development and production environments.
  • Collaborate with the senior server administrator to ensure system backups, disaster recovery plans, and security protocols are in place.
  • Assist in managing user permissions and access levels, ensuring appropriate access to reports, dashboards, and data sources.
  • Contribute to documentation and knowledge-sharing efforts related to administration processes and procedures.
