About The Position

SourceAmerica is seeking a Senior Business Development Representative to join our Growth team. In this role, you’ll take the lead on business development activities in the Commercial Market and support subcontracting efforts with federal Prime Contractors. You’ll qualify new business opportunities efficiently and help shape winning proposals by collaborating closely with internal teams and our network of Nonprofit Agencies (NPAs). You’ll also oversee the development of graphics for presentations and contribute to creating compelling proposal content. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or master’s degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of strategic sales management and business development experience, preferably within a nonprofit environment.
  • Prior experience in working with commercial accounts or federal Prime Contractors, and a strong base of knowledge related to the commercial non-federal market.
  • B2B and B2G experience.
  • Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets and close high-value deals.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and multitasking skills.
  • Strong proficiency with CRM systems and sales/marketing tools.
  • 25% to 35% business travel is required.

Nice To Haves

  • 10+ years relevant work experience in business development and sales.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce, and Salesloft.
  • Certifications: Capture management and/or PMP.
  • Proven proficiency in MS Office including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Proficient user experience with an enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems. SourceAmerica uses Microsoft Dynamics 365 as its business application system.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build and maintain relationships.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including grammar and proofreading skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Capable of working independently and solving problems under time pressure.
  • Flexible schedule and some travel required during certain time periods.

Responsibilities

  • Handles outside sales and business development activities for the organization, including meeting customers and SourceAmerica’s NPAs at their sites to discuss the opportunities to hire professionals with disabilities.
  • Assist with the development of the Business Unit Strategic Plan.
  • Present NPA and NPA capabilities to a variety of commercial companies and federal prime contractors.
  • Direct sales and marketing efforts to federal prime contractors and commercial accounts.
  • Interface with federal contracting personnel to influence the inclusion of AbilityOne subcontracting language in federal solicitations
  • Lead and facilitate service project negotiations among nonprofit agencies, federal prime contractors, and commercial customers.
  • Persuade commercial companies to use services for targeted commercial requirements.
  • Managing the monthly pipeline and reporting on commercial opportunities, including partnerships with commercial companies and subcontracting opportunities on federal requirements with federal prime contractors.
  • Analyze market data for specific lines of business to support negotiations and proposal development.
  • Lead the preparation of complex price proposals for commercial contracts.
  • Lead and facilitate negotiations for service projects between nonprofit agencies and commercial customers.
  • Manage all aspects of new project development until the start-up of each new project.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams to capture specific opportunities or advanced customer-focused initiatives.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams that seek to improve and increase the effectiveness and efficiency of SourceAmerica operations
  • Provide overall outreach support for Sales and Business Development efforts of SourceAmerica to include presentations and representation at public events.
  • Business travel is required for this position based on business need.
