About The Position

The Parking - Senior Business Development Manager is responsible for prospecting new clients and growing existing accounts within the Chicago/Midwest territory. This role involves serving as a trusted advisor, utilizing networking, cold calling, and advertising to generate interest in ABM Parking's services. The manager will work closely with mid and senior-level operations management, marketing, and technical staff to develop strategic plans and a robust pipeline of new business. A thorough understanding of the parking industry and ABM's solutions is essential for success.

Requirements

  • Established in the Parking Industry within the hiring market with a willingness to live within the territory.
  • Detailed understanding of the overall parking industry and marketplace including trends.
  • Degreed in Management or Business preferred, or equivalent industry experience.
  • 3+ years of experience and expertise in Parking Sales or Management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Expertise in Parking Sales/Operations.
  • Proposal writing, RFPs, and bid walk experience preferred.
  • Significant parking sales or operations accomplishments.
  • Dynamic presentation and negotiation skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Trade group participation: BOMA, IREM, IFMA, IPMA, Chamber of Commerce.
  • Experience with Salesforce or other CRM systems.

Responsibilities

  • Prospect for potential new clients and convert them into increased business.
  • Cold call within the market to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities.
  • Meet potential clients by growing, maintaining, and leveraging your network.
  • Identify potential clients and decision-makers within client organizations.
  • Research and build relationships with new clients.
  • Set up meetings with client decision-makers.
  • Plan approaches and pitches to clients.
  • Work with the team to develop proposals that meet clients' needs and objectives.
  • Participate in pricing solutions and services offered to clients.
  • Handle objections by creating win-win situations and working through differences to a positive conclusion.
  • Participate in local trade organizations and submit progress reports.
  • Use CRM to track and record sales activity and ensure data accuracy.
  • Forecast sales quota targets and ensure sales goals are met.
