The Senior Business Development Coordinator will play a pivotal role in identifying and nurturing strategic relationships with key decision-makers in healthcare, including regional hospital administration, EMS, physicians, businesses, providers, and nursing home administration. The role will involve serving as a liaison between Deaconess Health System (DHS) and strategic partners to ensure the establishment of strong, sustainable relationships. Additionally, the position will assist in developing a pipeline for new projects through regional hospital partnerships and prospecting. This individual will collaborate closely with marketing, sales, operations, service line leaders, and product development teams to implement business development initiatives. The Senior Business Development Coordinator will also support trauma care standardization, assist in developing trauma educational offerings, and promote adherence to national standards, including those from the American College of Surgeons (ACS).

  • Identify and research key opportunities to grow and expand DHS. Cultivate strong relationships with key decision-makers within healthcare organizations, such as regional hospitals, businesses, and providers.
  • Work with various departments to ensure smooth execution of strategic initiatives. Maintain relationships with DHS departments and leaders to aid in executing plans with strategic partners.
  • Stay informed about the regional healthcare landscape to assist in identifying potential affiliates for DHS, including primary care and specialty care clinics.
  • Collaborate with Department Managers responsible for outpatient services to streamline the entry of new patients into DHS for outpatient, inpatient, and transport services.
  • Organize and facilitate meetings with regional facilities, ensuring the timely completion of projects and tasks between DHS and partners.
  • Provide regional support for operations assessments, strategic initiatives, and program development. Serve as the EMS System Coordinator and representative at EMS Committee and Trauma Committee meetings.
  • Participate in trauma case reviews and assist in developing educational offerings on trauma care for all age groups (pediatric, adolescent, adult, geriatric), ensuring adherence to ACS trauma guidelines.
  • Maintain compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, and standards of conduct. Participate in other duties as assigned by the Director of Business Development.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of healthcare experience in business development or a related field.
  • Master's Degree (MBA, MSN) or advanced clinical certifications.
  • Experience in clinical leadership within Deaconess Health System or similar healthcare environments.
