About The Position

We are seeking a hands-on, highly accountable Senior Business Analyst to support technology and operational performance within our manufacturing plant. This role will be boots on the ground, working directly with site leadership, production teams, maintenance, quality control, supply chain, and procurement to ensure plant systems remain stable, issues are resolved quickly, and operational capabilities continue to improve. This individual will serve as the primary technology partner for the plant, bridging business operations and IT to drive real outcomes: minimizing downtime, improving throughput, supporting inventory and material flow accuracy, and strengthening shop-floor execution. The ideal candidate has deep domain knowledge in manufacturing, strong analytical skills, and experience supporting systems such as FeneVision and plant automation technologies. LOCATION: ON-SITE (Walton Hills, OH) THIS IS A DIRECT HIRE, W2 POSITION. NO CONTRACTORS

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in a Business Analyst, Manufacturing Systems Analyst, or Plant Systems role supporting plant operations.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing operations, including production workflows, inventory control, procurement, and supply chain execution.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting and improving ERP-supported plant workflows (FeneVision experience strongly preferred).
  • Experience working in plant environments and engaging directly with floor-level stakeholders (supervisors, operators, schedulers, maintenance).
  • Strong skills in troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and cross-functional coordination.
  • Ability to translate business needs into clear requirements, process maps, and functional documentation.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to drive alignment across operations, IT, and leadership.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting plant automation and shop-floor systems (scanners, labeling, machine data capture, MES-like workflows).
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma concepts and continuous improvement practices.
  • Familiarity with SQL, reporting tools, or analytics platforms used for plant KPI monitoring.

Responsibilities

  • Plant Operations Support & Stabilization• Serve as the day-to-day technology partner for the manufacturing site, ensuring plant systems run reliably across operations so production ships on schedule.
  • Provide Tier 2/3 functional support for plant systems, troubleshooting issues, driving root cause analysis, and coordinating resolution with internal IT and external vendors.
  • Own issue triage, prioritization, communication, and follow-through to ensure problems are resolved quickly and permanently, not repeatedly patched.
  • Establish a strong on-site presence and build trusted relationships with supervisors, line leads, and plant leadership to keep operations moving.
  • Supply Chain, Procurement & Inventory Enablement• Partner with supply chain and procurement teams to improve system-supported processes, including: o Purchase requisitions and purchase orders o Receiving and put-away o Inventory control, cycle counting, and accuracy improvements o Material staging and production consumption
  • Analyze material flow, scrap drivers, stockouts, and procurement bottlenecks to recommend system and process improvements.
  • Support planning activities and coordinate system enhancements to improve lead times, availability, and schedule adherence.
  • Manufacturing Execution & Plant Automation Support• Support shop-floor execution processes, including production reporting, work order progression, scheduling support, and labor/throughput tracking.
  • Partner with engineering and maintenance teams to support plant automation capabilities (equipment integrations, scanning workflows, data capture, labeling, etc.).
  • Identify opportunities for automation improvements that reduce manual work, eliminate errors, and strengthen traceability.
  • Business Analysis, Process Improvement & Enhancements• Lead process discovery workshops with plant teams to document the current state, identify gaps, and define a better future state.
  • Translate operational needs into clear functional requirements and user stories for enhancements, integrations, and new capabilities.
  • Drive improvements from end-to-end: problem definition → requirement documentation → solution design support → testing → go-live readiness → adoption.
  • Maintain process documentation, workflows, and supporting reference materials aligned to standard operating procedures.
  • FeneVision ERP Functional Ownership• Act as the primary functional resource supporting plant workflows that interact with FeneVision, including production tracking, order execution, and reporting processes.
  • Support continuous improvement and optimization of ERP processes to increase stability, reliability, and usability across plant teams.
  • Partner with IT and application teams to ensure plant needs are appropriately represented and prioritized in the system roadmap.
  • Testing, Release Readiness & Change Enablement• Develop test plans and execute functional testing for plant-related system changes and enhancements.
  • Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with plant SMEs, ensuring changes are validated without disrupting production.
  • Lead end-user adoption by delivering training, creating job aids, and ensuring the site is prepared for change.
  • Metrics, Visibility & Operational Outcomes• Use data to identify trends, defects, and performance gaps related to plant systems and workflows.
  • Track and report results such as issue volume, resolution speed, recurring defect reduction, production interruptions, and adoption metrics.
  • Recommend and implement improvements that strengthen operational reliability and drive measurable business value.
