The Senior Business Analyst is a senior individual contributor responsible for owning business analysis for one or more defined business verticals. This role serves as the primary analysis partner for vertical leadership, shaping solutions that span multiple systems and initiatives. The Senior Business Analyst combines strategic thinking, deep domain understanding, and cross-functional leadership to ensure technology and process changes deliver measurable business value within their assigned vertical(s). Location: This role is based out of Oklahoma City, OK and will utilize a hybrid schedule (3 days in-office, 2 days remote).

Requirements

6+ years of experience in business analysis roles supporting complex, enterprise initiatives.
Proven experience owning analysis for a business domain or vertical.
Strong expertise in business process modeling, requirements management, and solution evaluation.
Demonstrated ability to influence senior leaders and cross-functional teams without formal authority.
Excellent communication, facilitation, and analytical skills.
Vertical ownership mindset with enterprise awareness
Strategic and systems-level thinking
Strong stakeholder leadership and influence
Comfort operating in ambiguity and complexity
Accountability for outcomes and business value

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, or related field preferred.
Experience supporting ERP or other enterprise platforms within a business vertical.
Experience in Agile, hybrid, or scaled delivery environments.
Familiarity with data, analytics, and reporting concepts.
Business analysis certifications (CBAP, PMI-PBA) preferred.
Experience mentoring or leading other business analysts.

Responsibilities

Business Vertical Ownership Serve as the primary business analysis owner for assigned business vertical(s).
Develop deep understanding of vertical-specific processes, systems, data, and strategic priorities.
Partner with vertical leadership to identify opportunities, define roadmaps, and prioritize initiatives.
Maintain a holistic view of dependencies, impacts, and opportunities across the vertical.
Strategic Analysis & Solution Leadership Lead business analysis efforts for complex, cross-functional initiatives impacting the vertical.
Shape solution approaches by balancing business outcomes, technical constraints, and long-term strategy.
Influence platform and system design decisions to ensure alignment with vertical needs.
Advanced Discovery & Requirements Drive end-to-end discovery efforts across multiple teams and systems.
Define and manage business capabilities, process models, and functional requirements.
Translate strategic objectives into actionable requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
Stakeholder Leadership Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders within the business vertical.
Facilitate executive-level workshops, decision forums, and working sessions.
Resolve conflicting priorities and requirements across teams and stakeholders.
Process Optimization & Value Realization Own current-state and future-state process analysis within the vertical.
Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and operational efficiency.
Define success metrics and track value realization for delivered solutions.
Delivery Oversight & Quality Provide analysis leadership throughout delivery to ensure solutions meet vertical needs.
Support UAT, change readiness, and adoption within the business vertical.
Identify risks, dependencies, and impacts across initiatives and systems.
Standards & Mentorship Establish and promote business analysis standards and best practices.
Mentor senior and mid-level business analysts supporting the vertical.
Contribute to the maturity of business analysis practices across the organization.
