About The Position

The Senior Business Analyst - Insights will play a crucial role within Disney's Direct to Consumer (DTC) team, focusing on the Hulu and Disney+ streaming businesses. This position is responsible for conducting data analysis, extracting insights, and crafting high-level presentations for executives to aid in informed decision-making. The analyst will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to improve business performance through actionable insights derived from data analysis and visualization.

Requirements

• 4+ years of analytical experience.
• 2+ years of experience working cross-functionally with stakeholders in a matrixed organization.
• High familiarity with data platforms and applications such as Databricks, Jupyter, Snowflake, Redshift, and Airflow.
• Familiarity with data exploration and visualization tools like Tableau, Looker, and Chartio.
• Strong experience in detailing data requirements, strategy, and rules (standardization, cleansing, and validation).
• Outstanding interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Ability to visualize and summarize data insights into clear, compelling business narratives, including executive presentations.
• Strong analytical and technical skills to troubleshoot issues and provide timely recommendations.
• Ability to think strategically and analyze market and consumer information.
• Understanding of statistical concepts such as hypothesis testing and regression analysis.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in the streaming media industry or knowledge of Video on Demand (VOD) and subscription-based services (SVOD).
• Experience compiling and presenting detailed analysis to an executive audience.
• Project management experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct business performance reporting, visualization, and regression management to provide insights on metrics and drive business performance improvements.
• Perform deep-dive analysis of user behavioral data to identify patterns and opportunities for enhancing user engagement with the platform.
• Utilize forecasting and opportunity sizing to set goals and evaluate potential business opportunities, helping stakeholders make informed trade-offs.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and data teams to unlock opportunities and enhance data modeling, testing platforms, and data visualization capabilities.
• Develop impactful presentation materials that effectively communicate key findings and influence operational decisions.
