The position is responsible for aligning technology solutions with business strategies specific to Insight Ready Data, consulting and collaborating with business/project owners to define business processes, business requirements including information governance, develop technology concepts, and implement to user satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of MGIC business units and their interrelationships.
  • Strong connections throughout the organization with experience in business areas, management, and IS organization.
  • Understanding of the concept and phases of SDLC.
  • Strong understanding of the mortgage process and data affiliated with it.
  • Strong understanding of project management principles and lifecycle.
  • Subject matter expertise in MGIC data and data infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with MGIC current data structure and tools.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and execute the design and business implementation of new products and/or technology solutions related to the Insight Ready Data project.
  • Work with business owners to assess requests for use cases, enhancements, and/or potential alternatives based on requirements.
  • Identify and plan analysis tasks associated with project and use cases, including elicitation, business process analyses, resource requirements, needs assessments, cost/benefit measurements, and stakeholder identification.
  • Lead processes to collect, examine, and shape business requirements, ensuring requirements are met efficiently.
  • Manage assigned projects and use cases including planning, analysis, development, and implementation.
  • Represent business needs and functional/nonfunctional user requirements to internal developers and analysts.
  • Coordinate the creation and execution of quality assurance test plans and user acceptance testing.
  • Coordinate the rollout of products and communication thereof, remaining apprised of user issues.
  • Identify and decommission legacy processes as they become redundant.
  • Ensure compliance with established information governance policies and processes.
  • Manage reporting needs at a macro level to reduce redundant information/data assets.
  • Develop and execute transition readiness plans for change management.
  • Communicate across cross-functional teams throughout the project management process.
  • Research and provide information on technical trends and competitors' practices.
