About The Position

We design places where people love to be together. Populous is a global design firm that began with a singular focus: to draw people together around the things they love, through experiences that capture all the senses, amplifying the atmosphere of excitement and pure joy shared in human moments. We’ve designed and delivered some of the world's most memorable civic, sports and entertainment buildings, from iconic stadia to ground-breaking live music venues. Populous is where architects and designers of all kinds create moments bigger than ourselves. We offer the best of both worlds: the resources and impact of the design giants and the tightly knit atmosphere and growth opportunities of smaller firms. The Senior Building Performance Analyst will lead the analysis and optimization of building systems to improve energy efficiency, sustainability, occupant comfort, and operational performance. They will provide technical support to project teams and collaborate closely with architects, clients and others to evaluate building performance through modeling, simulation and data analysis throughout the design and operational project phases. Our preferred candidate will have an advanced degree in Building Science with at least 5 years’ experience in building performance modeling or energy analysis tools, a strong understanding of building energy theory and research methodology and working knowledge of construction practices. The ideal candidate also has experience working on high-performance or net-zero energy/carbon buildings, daylight analysis, thermal comfort and airflow modeling as well as credentials such as Building Energy Modeling Professional (BEMP) and ASHRAE High-Performance Building Design Professional (HBDP).
