About The Position
The Senior Budget Analyst is part of the finance and accounting team supporting Vanderbilt University’s Division of Administration (DoA). This position is responsible for performing various complex financial analysis which require a robust understanding of finance principals and high attention to detail. Reporting directly to the Senior Director of Finance; the Senior Budget Analyst will interact with departmental and central finance representatives and professional peers on a frequent basis to understand departmental financial performance. The Senior Budget analyst prepares month end general ledger analysis and assists in preparing quarterly forecasts, operating budgets, capital budgets and ad-hoc analysis. The Sr. Budget Analyst will have an understanding of accounting concepts, theories, practices, and terminology to identify financial trends, opportunities or areas of concern.
