  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with branch’s policies and procedures as related to the processes conducted
  • Must be familiarized with all regulatory matters as they affect the client base assigned
  • Serve as central point of contact for Account Officers responsible for the client base assigned
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external departments as related to Compliance matters
  • Must have the ability to take initiative and problem solving skills in order to resolve matters that affect the overall Compliance Program
  • Conducts reviews for Corresponding Bank Relationships, broker dealers, pooled investments amongst others
  • Intermediate to advance knowledge of USA Patriot Act Section 312, 313 & 319
  • Assists/participates with on-site visits to High-Risk customers and/or Remote Site Visits, as may be required
  • Carry out duties related to the Annual Review process for accounts of officers assigned in accordance with regulatory guidelines and internal requirements
  • Must be able to analyze large data sets and form a reasonable conclusion
  • Responsible for decisioning the dispositioning of the transactions monitoring alerts. Approve own CDD for low and moderate accounts not on watch list
  • Able to meet department deadlines
  • Responsible for ensuring outstanding items from cases, Annual Reviews, and reviews/investigations are closed by following up with persons from other departments
  • Conduct specific monitoring reviews as assigned by management
  • Lead or participate in projects and or trainings as needed
  • Ability to understand, speak, read and write English and Spanish
  • Effectively speaking before groups of customers or employees
  • Assume evolving duties and responsibilities of position
  • Work all hours required to fulfill job duties and responsibilities (including, weekends, evenings and holidays as needed)
  • Travel as required
  • Provide coverage for other positions as requested
  • Ability to carry and lift boxes and objects that may weigh between 10 and 25 pounds
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by management
  • A four year college degree is required. May be substituted with related compliance experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum Four years compliance experience or any equivalent combination of education and experience
  • BSA/AML experience in Correspondent Banking is a must
  • Ability to operate IBM compatible personal computers; fluency with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Datapro – IBS, Assist, BSA Radar, Sydel’s CompliXpert and other banking applications
  • FIBA AMLCA or other Compliance Certification before or during employment
