About The Position

This is an in-office position located in Richmond, VA. Assist the department Manager or Supervisor with day-to-day operations for the department by having a clear understanding of the tasks and workflow, while ensuring appropriate internal procedures are followed for regulatory guidelines. Assist with working more complex tasks.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education, training and work-related experience
  • Minimum of two (2) years experience in brokerage operations
  • Knowledge of advanced concepts, principles and practices of assigned functional area(s)
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Attention to detail with emphasis on accuracy and quality
  • Organizational, verbal and written communication skills
  • Driven to achieve results, thrive in a fast paced environment and required to solve problems and make decisions based on sound judgement

Responsibilities

  • Assist with day-to-day operations by processing transactions, performing critical functions, aiding with audit and compliance requests, and maintaining excellent service levels.
  • Resolve issues and apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills to meet the demands of the business.
  • Responsible for complex tasks in the department(s).
  • Assist the team with policy and procedural questions and provide guidance when necessary to help with the completion of various tasks.
  • Perform supervisory reviews of certain critical functions and retrieve and monitor exception reports.
  • Responsible for creating and maintaining department procedures.
  • Responsible for having an overall knowledge of all department processes and training new teammates.
  • Demonstrate initiative and commitment to continuous learning, and the ability to adapt to the changing demands of the business.
