The Transportation division of AECOM has an exciting opportunity for a creative, highly talented Structural Bridge Engineer to join our Bridges and Structures Design team for the New York Metro area. This role can be based out of New York City or Piscataway, NJ. The appropriately qualified applicant will be able to demonstrate an established career with experience in Transportation Structures in the New York Metro market. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivery of a range of projects for both public and private sector clients. The transportation business in New York is made up of professional technical experts in the bridges, highways, ports & marine, airports, rail and planning disciplines. As a Senior Bridge Engineer, your knowledge and understanding of delivery expectations must be understood to effectively lead as projects are executed under conventional or alternative delivery models. Moreover, less experienced staff will seek guidance and direction making a strong understanding Bridge design specifications critical. Implied is an ability to complete structural design from planning through to detailed design stages for steel and, concrete. Enjoyment of deriving technical solutions from a pragmatic understanding of empirical theories is an attribute.
