About The Position

The Senior Bridge Engineer at COWI North America will lead and manage bridge design projects, ensuring high-quality engineering solutions while collaborating with a global team of experts. This role involves overseeing project teams, preparing engineering reports, and engaging in business development activities, all while contributing to the transportation and energy sectors.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• 10+ years of related experience in Bridge Design and Project Management, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Skilled technical expertise in the design and construction of bridges and familiarity with modern bridge design codes.
• Registered as a Professional Civil Engineer or ability to obtain registration.
• Experience with 3D structural modeling using analysis software such as CSI Bridge, Sofistik, and ADINA.
• Ability to conduct site visits during construction and prepare associated observation reports.

• Experience in preparing proposals and leading business development activities.

Responsibilities

• Lead project teams in structural analysis, design, evaluation, and preparation of calculations and drawings.
• Supervise, coordinate, and review the work of other structural engineers.
• Prepare engineering reports and standard documents, such as technical specifications, per applicable design codes.
• Research and review design options for both technical and financial impact.
• Liaise with other professionals, clients, and third parties as needed.
• Assist with preparation of proposals and participate in business development activities.
