JOB SUMMARY LIVIC Civil is looking to fill a full-time Senior Bridge Designer position for our growing bridge department. This role Leads bridge plan production and supports technical delivery for bridge inspection, rehabilitation, and replacement projects. Mentors designers, coordinates multi-discipline plan inputs, supports QA/QC readiness, and helps ensure deliverables meet agency standards and schedules. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or closely related field
  • 4-8+ years of bridge/structural plan production experience with increasing responsibility
  • Advanced proficiency in MicroStation/OpenBridge (AutoCAD knowledge a plus)
  • Strong working knowledge of DOT/municipal standards and deliverable expectations
  • Ability to lead/mentor staff and manage multiple deadlines
  • Authorized to work in the United States
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered (including an Associate degree with additional relevant experience)

  • EIT
  • Experience coordinating plan sets across disciplines and phases
  • Exposure to constructability reviews and inspection documentation
  • Travel to other offices as needed

Responsibilities

  • Lead bridge plan production and detailing; coordinate plan set completeness across phases.
  • Mentor and support junior designers; provide guidance on standards and best practices.
  • Coordinate with engineers/PMs to align production with milestone needs.
  • Support QA/QC, including review comment tracking and resolution.
  • Assist with quantities, documentation, and deliverable packaging.
