About The Position

We are seeking a dynamic, service-driven Senior Branch Counselor (SBC) to join Farmers Insurance Federal Credit Union's team. In this role, you will focus on expanding our membership base and driving growth in shares and consumer loans through proactive outreach, personalized service, and strong relationship-building. The ideal candidate combines sales acumen with exceptional member service and the ability to mentor others within the branch. Key Responsibilities Sales & Business Development Identify opportunities to grow membership, shares, and consumer loans through outbound calling, marketing efforts, and referrals. Achieve individual sales goals while supporting overall branch sales targets by managing an assigned member portfolio and uncovering additional financial needs. Conduct sales presentations to new and existing Farmers/Select Employer Group employees to generate new business. Recommend initiatives to improve the Credit Union’s visibility and engagement within the Farmer’s Insurance network and broader community. Share best practices related to successful sales techniques and lead generation with fellow employees. Member Service & Financial Solutions Build and enhance relationships with existing members by identifying financial needs and recommending thoughtful, convenient solutions. Assist members with everyday transactions including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and account maintenance. Provide accurate information regarding statements, stop payments, fraud claims, account insurance, and other deposit-related services. Support members through the full loan process, including documentation collection, credit report reviews, and rate determination. Deliver consistently high-quality service, contributing to strong Member Service Survey results. Branch Operations Balance cash drawer, branch vault, ATM, and negotiable instruments daily in accordance with Credit Union standards. Process and proof checks for item processing following balancing requirements. Handle complex situations and perform advanced account research to identify and resolve member issues. Participate in and help lead daily branch huddles; provide input on scheduling with a focus on exceptional member service. Ensure adherence to audit and compliance procedures within the branch. Leadership & Mentoring Assist in training new hires on Credit Union products, services, and branch operations. Take a leadership role in ensuring employees are proficient in operational procedures and member service expectations. Serve as a mentor, maintaining regular contact with mentees and communicating needs or concerns to the Branch Manager.

Requirements

  • Prior experience in financial services, retail banking, or credit union operations preferred.
  • Proven success in sales, business development, or relationship management.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • High attention to detail with the ability to manage complex tasks and ensure operational accuracy.
