  • Support the Facility Manager in all areas of the Pattern operating site.
  • Ensure a positive working environment by maintaining discipline, morale, and employee relations.
  • Operate and maintain associated wind plant equipment, including substations, transmission lines, collection system, tower switchgear, and other site activities.
  • Lead the use of maintenance documentation, reporting tools and performance systems necessary for reporting and performance improvement.
  • Provide hands-on technical support and supervision for Wind generation equipment and power delivery systems, as well as with other facility civil work, building maintenance and upkeep.
  • Enable teammates' ability and awareness to work safely and stop work as required.
  • Support driving the injury-free workplace culture by facilitating safe work habits, hazard recognition, risk assessment, peer to peer feedback, and proper use of human performance tools.
  • Manage site specific and corporate procedures, policies, training programs, safety programs and work practices and related updates as required.
  • Balance and support facility public relations and community interactions.
  • Maintain regulatory compliance with all Federal, state and local regulations and associated permits.
  • Ensure obligations are met using the CMMS.
  • Electrical and Mechanical troubleshooting experience with Power delivery and Wind applications.
  • Proficient with computers and Microsoft applications.
  • Basic understanding of one-line diagrams and schematics.
  • Ability to read, write and understand Switching Orders.
  • Perform Hot-Cold-Hot voltage checks, visual opens, grounds and follow LOTO procedures.
  • Diploma degree or technical school certificate; or 3 years of related experience in Wind/BOP; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to climb turbine tower (>250feet).
  • General understanding of NERC and CIP compliance.
  • Good driving record.
  • Experience in Substation switching and maintenance operations (In-house training, or schooling certifications).
  • Overall BOP experience (PMT switching/inspections, switchgear switching, transmission line inspections).
