About The Position

Berndt CPA LLC is seeking a Senior Bookkeeper - Client Advisory to join our growing firm. This role is ideal for an experienced bookkeeping or accounting professional who excels beyond transactional work and thrives in a client-facing, advisory-driven environment. You will serve as a trusted partner to clients, combining strong technical accounting skills with communication, process improvement, and technology expertise to deliver insight-not just numbers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
• 5+ years of accounting experience (public accounting or client-facing experience preferred)
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and financial reporting experience
• Proven ability to manage client relationships and communicate complex information clearly
• Experience working in cloud-based accounting systems and technology-driven environments
• Strong leadership, organization, and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee accounting engagements for assigned clients, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and consistency
• Serve as a primary advisor and relationship manager for clients, providing proactive guidance and financial insight
• Review and oversee month-end and quarterly close processes prepared by staff
• Analyze financial results and explain trends, risks, and opportunities to clients
• Leverage accounting technology and automation tools to improve workflows and client outcomes
• Identify opportunities for process improvement, system enhancements, and advisory services
• Collaborate with internal teams to deliver a high-level client experience
• Mentor and support accounting staff through review, coaching, and technical guidance
