About The Position

The Senior Boiler Service Technician will be responsible for the servicing, troubleshooting, repairing, cleaning, and maintenance of heating and cooling equipment and related systems for commercial and industrial customers. This role involves working with various heating systems, including high pressure steam, low pressure steam, and hot water systems, ensuring that all equipment operates efficiently and safely.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of relevant experience cleaning and servicing boilers in a commercial / industrial environment; or equivalent combination of vocational training and experience
  • 4+ years of practical experience in general HVAC work
  • Knowledge of basic electricity and electrical control systems
  • Understanding of fuel oil, natural gas, and propane
  • Must be able to multi-task, work with minimal supervision, follow written and oral instructions, show attention to detail, and demonstrate problem-solving skills
  • Ability to read, understand, and work from blueprints, specifications, and schematics
  • Must be able to pass post-offer pre-employment drug screen, and may be required to satisfactorily complete additional background checks as required (i.e. DMV, criminal history)
  • Must adhere to all company policy and procedures
  • Must be available, and have the means to report to multiple job sites as assigned

Nice To Haves

  • HS diploma or GED equivalent
  • Knowledge of HVAC 20's equipment
  • Journeyman's or Master license
  • Prior military experience

Responsibilities

  • Service boilers and equipment for commercial / industrial customers
  • Troubleshoot, test, repair, maintain or modify heating systems and equipment including, but not limited to, high pressure steam, low pressure steam, and hot water systems
  • Perform preventative maintenance, site surveys, replacement and modifications requested by customers
  • Prepare on-site installation and repairs - examining building layout, anticipating challenges, identifying materials and coordinating on-site work
  • Document, complete, and maintain paperwork on each job
  • Perform other duties as assigned
