About The Position

The Senior Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) is responsible for developing plans to reduce problem behaviors and teach appropriate replacement behaviors for children, adolescents, and adults with autism and related developmental disabilities. The Senior BCBA will conduct functional behavior assessments, skills assessment and develop behavior and treatment plans in collaboration with parents, caregivers, educators, and other team members. They will also be responsible for developing skills acquisition programming, training parents, behavioral personal care attendant and other caregivers on all behavior change protocols, analyzing data and adjusting plans as needed, based on data. The Senior BCBA is also responsible for the ongoing training and professional development of the ABA department, creating and delivering continuing education training for BCBAs and Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs). Requirements

Minimum 3 years’ experience providing services to individuals with autism and/or other developmental disabilities.
Minimum 3 years’ experience supervising RBTs.
National Board Certification as a Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
Licensure as a Behavior Analyst (LBA) in the state of Missouri.
Participate in continuing education as required for license/certification maintenance.
Experience with implementing functional behavior assessments with children, adolescents and/or adults with autism and intellectual/developmental disabilities, recognizing and discussing signs of autism and criteria for autism spectrum disorder, and participating in clinical teams with other autism professionals.
Clinical background in administering verbal behavior assessments, conducting language, play, and skill-based assessments, and in designing, implementing, and/or training others using individualized language, play and skill-based curricula.
Supervisory experience of RBTs in 1:1 education of learners with autism across educational and community settings, as well as familiarity with designing, participating in, or supervising in-home 1:1 programs for young children with autism.
Experience with collecting, graphing, analyzing, displaying and discussing data-based progress is a must.
Able to stand, walk, and sit four (4) hours at a time.
Repetitive bending and reaching up to two (2) hours a day.
Able to lift 25 pounds from floor to waist.

Nice To Haves

Experience supervising BCaBAs and BCBAs, preferred.
Experience designing and conducting group trainings on behavior analytic content.
Management experience, preferred.

Responsibilities

Conduct functional assessment and/or functional analysis of target behaviors, including indirect assessments, direct observations, and experimental analyses, as well as skills assessments to determine programming needs and treatment recommendations.
Develop behavior intervention plans and general behavioral guidelines, in collaboration with parents, caregivers, educators and other team members, to decrease challenging behaviors and increase replacement behaviors.
Conduct competency-based training on behavior plans, skill acquisition programming and all other behavior change procedures for behavioral personal care attendants, parents, and any other team members with whom clients are in regular contact.
Recommend and develop program modifications to the team as necessary based on behavior reduction and skill acquisition data.
Complete a monthly report that describes trends, changes in behaviors, or any other significant events that may have impact the behaviors of the client, recommendations of the BCBA and any trainings or relevant programming actions that occurred during the month.
Ensure compliance with statewide policies and procedures through presentation of behavior plans to behavior development committees and human rights committees as applicable.
Collect and present data to, as well as consult with psychiatrists and other health care professionals regarding behavioral progress, to allow informed decisions to be made regarding the effectiveness and necessity of psychotropic medication.
Attend client-centered meetings (IEPs, ISPs, FSTs) as appropriate.
Consult and coordinate services with other education and health care professionals on an as needed basis.
Provide direct supervision to BcaBA and RBT employees as well as BCaBA/BCBA candidates accruing supervision and fieldwork experience toward their professional credential(s).
Develop new hire trainings for new ABA employees and modify on an ongoing basis based on changes to best practices and Sunnyhill policies & procedures.
Develop training systems for the ABA department that ensure all analysts are conducting Behavior Skills Training (BST) with staff and RBTs.
Proactively monitors Behavior Analyst Certification Board® (BACB®) updates to catalogue and execute updates needed to New Hire Training and other clinical processes to remain in compliance.
Conduct Mandt® training for new hire employees on a monthly basis.
Creates professional development trainings for RBTs to ensure they meet the necessary minimum continuing education requirements put forth by the BACB® on approximately every other month basis.
Creates professional development trainings for BCaBAs and BCBAs to assist them in meeting the necessary minimum continuing education requirements put forth by the BACB® on an approximately monthly basis.
Attend at least one professional behavior analytic conference annually, collecting knowledge and material to share with the Sunnyhill ABA team and representing Sunnyhill by networking with other professionals.
Develops and oversees implementation of clinical training initiatives to ensure clinical practices at Sunnyhill meet generally accepted standards of care (such as those set by Council of Autism Service Providers or accreditation standard issued by Autism Commission on Quality).
