About The Position

The Senior Blow Molding Process Technician is responsible for being the subject matter expert (SME) for all blow molding machines to produce high-quality products and reduce down-time. This role involves troubleshooting, process optimization and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. Your role at Prestone includes owning, managing, and planning Blow Molding activities such as process validation, controls and procedures, part design, tool optimization, operation and maintenance of equipment. You will develop and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all blow molding machines and perform training based on the last update of SOPs. The position also involves process ownership and compliance including but not limited to air compressors, air settings, chiller and water temperatures, blender settings, parison air settings and position, knock out rod inspection, and IMLs. You will be responsible for planning and regular review of daily, weekly, monthly preventative maintenance, managing mold maintenance, repair and refurbishment processes, and tracking units produced and repair documentation. Additionally, you will review and follow through on quality data to make necessary machine adjustments ensuring bottles produced are within specifications, perform mechanical troubleshooting to ensure machines are running efficiently, and operate and maintain blow molding machines when necessary. Completing required paperwork for accurate production when operating machines and ensuring blow molding machines are operating in a safe, efficient manner are also key responsibilities. You will support organizational wide initiatives including but not limited to spares, corporate support, bottle profile, and maintain a clean and safe work environment. Other duties may be assigned based on operational needs or special projects.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years blow molding or plastic manufacturing experience in a manufacturing facility.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule based on business needs.
• 5+ Advanced mechanical troubleshooting skills- mechanical aptitude and ability to operate complex machinery.
• Proficiency of precision machining and measuring tools.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams.
• Ability and willingness to work as a team member to perform training and constant coaching of operators.
• Able to travel with short term notice (5%).

Nice To Haves

• 10+ years blow molding or plastic manufacturing experience in a manufacturing facility.
• 10+ Advanced mechanical troubleshooting skills- mechanical aptitude and ability to operate complex machinery.
• Bilingual a plus (English and Spanish).

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Other duties as assigned based on operational needs or special projects.
