About The Position

This strategic, cross-functional role provides end-to-end ownership of data modeling, reporting, app development, automation, and AI initiatives. The position drives digital transformation and operational efficiency, leading key initiatives and setting direction for the team.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience: Prior experience with Power BI development, including report and dashboard creation. Hands-on experience in data analysis with a proven track record of delivering business insights.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL for database querying; Programming expertise in Python or R; Experience with Tableau or Power BI for reporting and dashboard creation; Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting. Proficiency in Power Query.
  • Analytical Skills: Solid understanding of statistical analysis and data modeling, with the ability to identify trends and translate complex findings into actionable insights.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and troubleshooting skills to ensure data integrity.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and produce well-structured reports.

Nice To Haves

  • Higher Education: Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related field.
  • Advanced Analytics: Experience with predictive modeling, basic machine learning, and advanced statistical software or libraries.
  • Big Data & Cloud: Exposure to big data technologies (Spark, Hadoop) or cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) for large-scale data processing.
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience in relevant industries (energy, finance, healthcare, etc.) to provide context for analyses.
  • Certifications: Professional certifications such as Certified Analytics Professional (CAP) or Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate are preferred, demonstrating validated expertise and commitment to the field.

Responsibilities

  • Data Analysis & Insights: Lead analytics projects to extract, synthesize, and interpret large datasets, delivering actionable insights for business decision-making.
  • Utilize Power Query for the crucial data transformation and cleaning phase of turning raw data into meaningful, interactive business insights.
  • Data Quality & Management: Maintain and monitor databases, enforce data quality standards, and troubleshoot integrity issues to ensure reliable data.
  • Reporting & Visualization: Use SQL and Python/R to generate reports, and leverage visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) to create dashboards that communicate trends and patterns clearly.
  • Automation & Tools: Deploy automation scripts and tools to streamline data collection and analysis, improving efficiency.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with business units, IT, and management to understand data needs and present findings in a clear, actionable manner.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay current with best practices in analytics, recommending and implementing process improvements and new techniques to enhance data-driven decision-making.
