Senior Business Intelligence Analyst: Remote in the US - only We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Intelligence Analyst to design, develop, and optimize enterprise-scale data solutions. This role combines deep technical expertise in modern data engineering with advanced analytics capabilities to drive data-driven decision making across the organization. The ideal candidate will architect robust ETL/ELT pipelines, leverage Databricks for scalable data processing, and create sophisticated Power BI solutions while implementing intelligent automation through Power Automate. Here is some of what you'll do: Data Pipeline Architecture & Development Design, build, and maintain production-grade automated data pipelines extracting from APIs, databases, flat files, and third-party systems with comprehensive error handling, monitoring, alerting, and continuous performance optimization through query tuning and parallel processing. Databricks Development & Optimization Develop scalable data processing solutions using Databricks notebooks (PySpark, Scala, SQL) with modular workflows for incremental loads and complex transformations. Implement optimal cluster configurations, Delta Lake for ACID transactions, Unity Catalog for governance, and Job Scheduling for production orchestration. Power BI Development & Analytics Design enterprise Power BI solutions including interactive dashboards, paginated reports, and embedded analytics. Build optimized semantic models using DAX, implement row-level security, manage workspace governance, and establish organizational best practices. Power Automate Cloud Flows Build automation solutions using cloud flows (automated, instant, scheduled) that integrate with Microsoft 365, Azure services, and third-party platforms. Design approval workflows integrated with Teams and Outlook following best practices for error handling and performance. Robotic Process Automation Apply Power Automate Desktop for RPA scenarios to reduce manual effort and streamline business processes with maintainable, optimized solutions. Data Transformation & Quality Transform data according to complex business logic, enforce data quality validations, and execute multi-stage transformations while loading into target analytical environments. Stakeholder Collaboration Partner with business stakeholders to translate analytical requirements into technical solutions and document data architectures, pipeline designs, and technical specifications. Team Leadership & Knowledge Sharing Mentor junior team members and promote best practices across the BI team for all development and deployment activities. Here is who we are looking for: Technical Skills ETL/ELT Development: Proven experience designing and implementing production data pipelines with demonstrated expertise in performance optimization, error handling, and monitoring Databricks Proficiency: Strong hands-on experience with Databricks notebooks using PySpark, Scala, or SQL; practical knowledge of Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, cluster configuration, and job orchestration Power BI Expertise: Advanced skills in Power BI development including semantic modeling, DAX, report design, and workspace management Power Automate: Demonstrated ability to build cloud flows across automated, instant, and scheduled triggers; experience with Microsoft 365 and Azure connectors; knowledge of Power Automate Desktop for RPA implementations Programming: Proficiency in Python, SQL, and at least one additional language (Scala, R, or similar) Cloud Platforms: Experience with Azure data services and cloud-native architectures Professional Experience 5+ years of experience in business intelligence, data engineering, or analytics roles Proven track record delivering enterprise-scale data solutions Experience working in Agile development environments Strong portfolio demonstrating technical depth across required technology stack Soft Skills Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail Strong communication skills with ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences Collaborative mindset with experience working across functional teams Self-motivated with ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously Preferred Qualifications Education & Certifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Engineering, or related field. Technical Knowledge & Best Practices Experience with version control systems (Git, Azure DevOps), CI/CD practices for BI and data engineering workflows, data governance frameworks, and metadata management. Shedule: Monday - Friday day shift Pay $66,000-110,000 depending on experience and location, with a 7.5% targeted bonus of the annual salary This position does not provide visa sponsorship. Requirements
