About The Position

The Senior Bereavement Counselor is a key member of the Bereavement Team at Providence Trinitycare Hospice, responsible for providing bereavement services to individuals experiencing complicated grief. This role involves conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, offering grief education, crisis intervention, and facilitating support groups. The Counselor also engages in community outreach and education, serving a diverse population that includes infants, adolescents, and adults.

Requirements

• Master's Degree in Social Work from an accredited program.
• California Clinical Social Worker License or equivalent upon hire.
• 2 years of post-license experience in social work.
• 3 years of experience in bereavement and loss.

Nice To Haves

• 1 year of experience in support group facilitation.
• Experience in hospice care.
• Experience supervising or precepting Masters in Social Work interns.
• Experience working with volunteers.

Responsibilities
