We are seeking an experienced Senior Benefits Partner to join our Total Rewards team at Anthropic. In this role, you will help design, implement, and manage our comprehensive and evolving employee benefits programs in the US and internationally. You will work with the team to optimize our benefits offerings, ensure compliance, and help implement and streamline new and improved benefits systems workflows in collaboration with experts on our People Services and Engineering teams. This role will work closely with the broader People team as well as cross-functional partners like Finance and Legal, requiring stellar communication skills. Requirements

  • Have 8-10+ years of experience in benefits management, preferably in a high-growth environment
  • Possess deep technical knowledge of health and welfare plans, retirement benefits, leave policies, and compliance requirements
  • Bring extensive experience with Workday benefits configuration and maintenance
  • Excel in verbal and written communication, with a proven ability to build strong relationships with employees and stakeholders
  • Demonstrate a track record of effective vendor management and contract negotiation
  • Show strong program and project management skills with meticulous attention to detail
  • Are highly analytical and skilled at deriving meaningful insights from benefits data
  • Have experience managing global benefits programs
  • Are passionate about creating best-in-class, innovative benefits programs that support employee well-being

Nice To Haves

  • Have experience supporting significant (e.g. 100%) year over year headcount growth
  • Bring expertise in managing benefits during mergers and acquisitions
  • Possess an advanced degree in HR, Business, or a related field
  • Hold professional certifications such as CEBS or SHRM-SCP

Responsibilities

  • Help evolve and implement competitive benefits programs including health, dental, vision, life, disability, FSA, 401k, and other wellness benefits in the US and globally
  • Manage day-to-day administration of benefits programs, serving as a primary contact for employee questions
  • Implement and maintain benefits modules in Workday, including testing and troubleshooting
  • Negotiate with vendors and evaluate contracts to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality of benefits
  • Manage compliance calendar and ensure adherence to all relevant regulations including ACA, ERISA, COBRA, and leave entitlements
  • Analyze benefits data and generate reports to inform budgeting and strategic decision-making
  • Partner with Finance on benefits budgeting, accruals, and reporting
  • Coordinate open enrollment, new hire orientations, and benefits communications
  • Provide expert guidance to HR Business Partners and leadership on benefits strategies
  • Stay current on benefits trends and innovations, making recommendations for program enhancements
  • Support initiatives to promote employee well-being and benefits engagement
