The Senior Behavioral Health Therapist and Program Lead (LCSW-S, LPC-S, or LMFT-S) will work as part of an interdisciplinary, team-based program that cares for patients enrolled in the Texas Child Health Access Through Telemedicine (TCHATT) program at UT Health Austin Dell Medical School. TCHATT provides telemedicine or telehealth programs to school districts to help identify and assess the behavioral health needs of children and adolescents and provide access to mental health services. The Senior Behavioral Health Therapist and Program Lead will provide mental health therapy to children, adolescents, and family members and oversee other counselors providing TCHATT services. This position includes providing structured clinical supervision to support the professional development and licensure progression of LPC-Associates, LMSWs, or LMFTs in Texas. In accordance with state regulations, the supervisor must hold the appropriate supervisory credential: an LPC-S to supervise LPC-As, an LCSW-S to supervise LMSWs, an LMFT-S to supervise LMFT-As. This is a state funded position sponsored by the Texas Child Mental Health Care Consortium (TCMHCC). TCMHCC was created by the 86th Texas Legislature to leverage the expertise and capacity of the health-related institutions of higher education to address urgent mental health challenges and improve the mental health care system in this state in relation to children, adolescents, and perinatal women. This position has an end date of 8/31/2026, but may be renewable based upon availability of funding, work performance, and progress toward goals. Funding is expected to continue. A flexible working arrangement agreement will be required upon offer. The Senior Behavioral Health Therapist and Program Lead will join our growing multi-disciplinary team to conduct behavioral and mental health assessments, treatment planning, brief interventions, and interdisciplinary team consultation as needed, in compliance with standard regulations, policies and procedures. This position will provide mental health therapy to children, adolescents, and family members and will provide oversight and supervision to LPC-As, LMSWs, or LMFT-As delivering TCHATT program services, in alignment with licensure requirements.. The Senior Behavioral Health Therapist and Program Lead will also contribute to program development, lead trainings, and use data to inform programming. The Senior Behavioral Health Therapist and Program Lead will possess strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients and colleagues, to work independently with a strong attention to detail, and to effectively communicate through both oral and written communication.
