About The Position

The Senior Manager, Banking Operations provides leadership and oversight for Receivables Operations—including Lockbox, Remote Deposit Capture (RDC), Items Processing, and Cash/Vault. The role partners closely with the Director to execute strategy, deliver transformation initiatives, and ensure operational excellence, risk control, and compliance. The Senior Manager serves as an escalation point for complex issues, drives data-informed decisions through reporting, and fosters a culture of accountability, inclusion, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • 7+ years in Banking Operations
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards
  • Previous leadership experience required.
  • Advanced knowledge of general banking operations, including deposit operations, loan administration, treasury management and/or other commercial banking products and services.
  • Advanced knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices.
  • Advanced knowledge and experience of Regulatory requirements.
  • Advanced knowledge and experience of core banking products.
  • Advanced speaking and writing communication skills.
  • Hands-on familiarity with core banking systems and payment platforms; strong data/reporting and MS Office skills.
  • Demonstrated success in process improvement, automation, and project delivery; ability to lead cross-functional teams and vendors.
  • Exceptional communication, executive presence, and negotiation skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Project Management Experience preferred
  • Certifications such as AAP, PMP, Six Sigma, or similar are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manage components of Receivables operations to ensure SLAs, accuracy, and efficiency.
  • Maintain strong First Line of Defense controls including internal procedure adherence, documentation, and recordkeeping.
  • Coordinate internal / external for audit and compliance engagements.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards; analyze trends and implement data-driven improvements to quality, speed, accuracy, and cost.
  • Drive modernization and automation initiatives; define requirements, execute change management, and deliver measurable outcomes.
  • Hire, coach, and develop team members; conduct performance management and succession planning; foster collaboration and inclusion.
  • Collaborate with Product, Project, IT, Risk, Treasury, and Servicing partners; communicate status, impacts, and decisions to senior leadership.
